For one hour, the org chart stays in the cloakroom.

Contents

1. Getting the team out of its frame, without the artificial exercises

Team building almost always fails for the same reason: adults are asked to pretend. Split into tribes, build a tower out of spaghetti, fall backwards into a colleague's arms. Everyone plays along, nobody believes it.

KIRA asks for none of that. You put your team in an Amazonian jungle with a clear objective, and the rest happens on its own. You have to talk, describe what you see, decide fast and trust each other — because otherwise you do not move forward.

À retenir

Up to 18 people per hour, in teams of 2 to 6 players, ages 11 and up, in French or English. A room dedicated to your group and food available on site. 1 hour of play per team.

2. Nobody is left on the sidelines

This is the point that decides whether a company outing works, and it is the one most often overlooked.

A standard virtual reality activity starts with five minutes of explanation about the controllers. Two colleagues have understood, three are wrestling with the joystick, and one checks out completely. By the end, half the team remembers feeling stupid in front of the others.

There are no controllers at KIRA. Hands are tracked directly, and every action runs through real objects: a steering wheel that turns, a torch that lights, a crank that resists. Nobody needs to have played anything, ever.

Motion sickness, the other common reason people decline, does not arise either: it comes from joystick-driven movement, and there is none. You move forward because you walk.

3. What the split of roles produces

Each player picks a role before going in, and each role sees and can do different things.

The adventurer carries a connected torch and lights what the others cannot make out. The scientist wears UV goggles and reads symbols invisible to the naked eye. The mercenary protects the group.

None of them gets out alone. The person holding the information is not the one who can act, which forces people to describe, listen and coordinate. Over an hour, that produces things a workshop does not: you find out who explains clearly under pressure, who makes a decision when the group hesitates, who spots the detail everyone else missed.

And since no prior knowledge gives anyone an advantage, the usual hierarchy does not apply. The intern may well be the one who unblocks the situation.

4. Where it fits in your programme

Team building. The activity stands on its own. Two hours for around thirty people, food included.

Seminar. KIRA works as a self-contained sequence inside a longer day: after a morning of meetings to break the rhythm, mid-day to create a genuine pause, or at the close to finish on something other than one last presentation.

Company party, end of year, afterwork. The group plays in waves and stays on afterwards. It is an evening that starts with something rather than with a drink in a circle.

Onboarding new joiners. An hour together in an unusual situation beats a round of introductions.

Client or partner event. The experience is worth retelling, which makes it a good reason to invite people.

5. Organising the day

Your group splits into teams of 2 to 6. Each team sets off in turn, with a new start every thirty minutes, up to 18 people per hour.

HeadcountApproximate time on site
12 people1 h
18 people1 h 30
30 people2 h
50 people3 h

These durations include welcome, gearing up and the time spent together between sessions. While one team plays, the others are not standing around in a corridor.

6. On site

The space is 300 m², 180 of which is the game floor. The rest exists to host a group properly.

Your team gets a room reserved for them, to gather before, between sessions and after. Food-wise: sharing boards, toasted sandwiches, snacks, popcorn, beers and soft drinks. For an event that needs more, KIRA brings in a caterer.

That is what most corporate activities in Paris are missing. You finish the activity, then you find yourselves on the pavement looking for somewhere that can take thirty people without a booking.

KIRA is at 19 rue de la Pierre Levée, in the 11th, easily reached from offices in central and eastern Paris.

7. A reason to come back

A new scenario comes out every three to six months. Each time, the space is re-cut, the sets are rebuilt and new connected props are installed.

For a company looking for a recurring fixture rather than a one-off outing, it is a place you can return to without repeating yourself.

8. Prices and quotes

The per-person price drops as the team grows.

TeamPrice per person
2 players45 EUR
3 players40 EUR

For a group spread across several sessions, the rate applies team by team. Catering, private hire and caterer services are quoted separately.

Can we hire the venue privately?

Depending on group size and date. Describe your plan in the form to receive a proposal.
